Why have we never heard of you before?

That’s a great question! When we first came up with the idea, we kind of made some of the larger POS companies a little upset since we offered a solution that simply was not available to the market and totally disrupted how they made their money. Some of them tried to buy us out and force us to never work in cannabis again. Other’s tried to shut us down. It’s a long story to say the least.

We persevered and self funded this whole thing for the last 2 years with no help from any outside investors, which means that there wasn’t a whole lot of money for big budget press releases or “thought leader” writeups.

Luckily for us, we had some great dispensaries that were willing to work with us and help us perfect out plugins.

How long does it take to set up?

We would like to believe that the plugins are so simple to use that you should be up and running within 7 days tops*. There are special situations for every scenario, so if you get tied up feel free to review our help center, the support forum or just contact us.

*You do need to take pics of your products and upload them to your site, and some of the paperwork for our payments partners can take some time.

Do you integrate with my current POS provider?

We have reached out to all of the major POS companies, and are working on integrations. Fortunately, we don’t need to directly integrate with them to get your Native Ecommerce to work. Since we report back to Metrc and Biotrack, we eliminate the need for direct integration with your POS.

Do I need to have a website for your plugins to work?

Yes, and it must be a site built with WordPress. We offer site templates if you don’t have one yet. We also have some amazing web designers that we like to refer our customers to if you wanted something more custom.

What if I already have a WordPress site?

All you have to do it sign up, pick the plugins you want and we can install them. Once that is done, you are good to go. Our plugins work with most website builders and themes.

Does this work with WIX, Weebly, Squarespace or Shopify?

Yes and No. We can create a subdomain for your store using WordPress, but they will not work directly with your site if your are using WIX, Weebly, Squarespace, Shopify or any other NON WORDPRESS site builders.

Do I need to hire a web designer?

You do not need to hire a web designer if you don’t want to. We do offer templates that you can use to build your site. We also offer a setup option for the store if you feel that is too much work. Our store templates have been called basic and you won’t win any awards for amazing web design, but they work great.

If you want something more robust, we also have a preferred list of web design partners that we can recommend.

Am I locked into a contract?

No absolutely not! At Bud Plug there are No Surprises, No Contracts or Long Term Commitments for our Services. You can reliably predict expenses from our transparent pricing model. Say goodbye to being Nickle and Dimed. Our platform operates on a SaaS model, meaning you can subscribe on a monthly or yearly basis. If you don’t like the plugins, feel free to cancel before your next billing cycle.

Do I own the content on the website or will you delete the site if I choose to stop using your plugins?

You own the content. You also own your website. If you decide to stop using Bud Plug, we will simple turn off the plugins when the billing cycle ends.

Is this an iFrame?

Nope. Our plugins connect with WooCommerce so that you can literally have all of your own products on your own store. This allows you to have accurate data, inventory and you only have to manage 1 menu. Plus you get all the SEO benefits of your own product descriptions.

Do you sell my or my customers data?

Nope. While there are some 3rd party integrations that we offer that do require you to share your data, our base platform allows you to keep all of your customers data and information safe from prying eyes. We won’t market to them or sell their info to anyone.

Does BugPlug integrate with the state mandated Seed To Sale Tracking Platforms?

Yes!, Bud Plug is a Verified 3rd party integrator with both Metrc & Biotrack and we have developed integrations enabling the syncronization of data between our system and theirs. This includes both importing product packages and reporting sales data. This works for both Medical and Recreational Dispensaries.

Is BudPlug discounted for Social Equity License Holders?

Yes. The base platform is discounted for all Social Equity Cannabis License Holders. The Add-on’s are also discounted.

Do I have to have a cannabis license to use your platform?

Yes, our system is exclusively available for Licensed Medical & Recreational Dispensaries Only. We do not allow unlicensed shops to use our platform.

Do I need to purchase any hardware to run my business?

Our platform was built to operate on most mobile or desktop devices so you are not forced to purchase any unnecessary hardware that you don’t need and will never use. We do have a list of recommended hardware that we provide and recommend to keep your business running optimally and profitably. The sales kiosks are completely optional (but they are pretty awesome).
